Looking out for our community
The North GA Conservation Coalition informs and inspires residents, businesses and local governments in North Georgia in ways to conserve energy, air, land and water, moving us towards the preservation of the environment and the beauty of this area.
We are driven by a single goal: to do our part in making the world a better place for all. Our decision making process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high quality data evaluation.
We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.
By the year 2050, the earth's population will increase by 3 billion people. This growth is already becoming apparent in many counties in North Georgia, including Lumpkin, Dawson, and Pickens.
With this growth will come development and increased demand for land, clean air, water, energy, transportation and recreation.
In order to meet these new demands, conservation and prior planning is essential.
